Deco Night - Wedding Design

/ Sunday, May 27, 2012 /

When considering wedding design we must ask ourselves: What is the purpose of this design? How should it function? We believe that wedding design should be beautiful, induce happiness and ideally be timeless.

Carousel of Life recently posted their latest wedding project Deco Nights, looking at the designs drew a smile it was exactly what it should be, beautiful and timeless.

All the flower arrangements had an elegant beauty, the colors were subtle, they were just right, you know that feeling? The tall candles, chandeliers, and candles holders complimented each other. The overall result was whimsical and harmonious.

Curtain Threads & Crystals - Wedding Design

/ Sunday, May 20, 2012 /
We were taught in design school that density and layering are powerful formal techniques. As students,  we looked for existing examples of dense and complex designs, attempted to create such designs, and in despair we questioned the validity of this .

Our attempts were successful (sometimes) and our research yielded a few good examples, but our latest find shed light onto an extraordinary example of beautiful dense and complex design achieved by using two simple elements: thread curtains and crystals. The images below are screenshots of a stage designed by Worood. The layering of thousands of threads and crystals created a stunning 3D space of fairytale quality.

This is only the second Worood wedding we discover! Looking forward to more brilliant work.

Printed Walls - Wedding Inspiration

/ Tuesday, April 24, 2012 /
We don't think it's possible to describe all contemporary innovative design "styles", but we could highlight an obvious characteristic, which is that there is no style, only curiosity guided by experimentation and continuous work. This methodology/curiosity welcomed imagination and created an unprecedented diversity in all designs available to us. Take for example a wall, it is usually flat, decorated with ornaments or paint, but in the photos below walls are covered with photographic images that recreate 3D spaces or objects. Can you imagine your wedding ballroom covered with images that are integrated with flowers? An interesting thought to entertain.

Lace Events - Emerging Talent

/ Sunday, March 25, 2012 /
In neighboring Saudi a young talent is emerging with fine skills and impeccable taste. This talent is known as Sarah AlDabbagh the founder of Lace Events. Sarah's designs have a feminine luxurious feel of a different era, they reference cozy shabby chic furniture and elegant rococo pastels. The flower arrangements are soft and graceful, and the atmosphere is whimsical and lighthearted. We enjoy designs that create experiences and evoke sentiments, memories and deep joy. Sarah's designs are capable of doing this.

Lace Events specializes in wedding parties and social events design.
Below are a few images of their work, they say it all.

Lanvin 2012 and Zabeel Saray Wedding Inspiration

/ Wednesday, March 14, 2012 /
We all love Lanvin ! They constantly surprise us with a collection of interesting and beautifully structured ensembles, they have entertaining campaigns and inspiring fashion shows. The A/W 2012 show was by far the most inspiring. First, there was a band. Second, they were stationed on a stunning classic performance stage with a gigantic red chandelier, the ceiling was draped with ferry lights and the whole stage was showered with red and amber glow. This all is a refreshingly different wedding inspiration, and we have news! You can create a similar experience in Dubai!! Zabeel Saray has an events theatre. Like we said, something refreshingly different. Are you up for it?
